Conceived by Anouchka, passionate chef, and Heiko, creative handyman, this eco-friendly haven on the edge of the Bouconne forest offers stays, culinary workshops and moments of relaxation for an unforgettable experience.

Our approach in favor of the planet

In 2017, Anouchka attended the Certified Permaculture Course (CPC), a key step in the creation of L'Escapade Nature & Gourmande. This training fueled our desire to implement concrete actions to protect the planet and its inhabitants.

Every action we take is a commitment to a sustainable future, which we are keen to share with all those who stay here and wish to know more.

Phytoremediation: a natural system for treating estate water

One of our proudest features of this place is our phytoremediation system, which allows for the complete cleaning of wastewater in a totally natural way.

Thanks to two filtration basins composed of specific plants, the microorganisms located on their roots ensure the depollution of the water before it is returned to nature.

The water discharged into the system immediately seeps into the ground, eliminating the conditions necessary for mosquitoes to breed. This environmentally friendly system allows you to enjoy a magnificent flowerbed during the warmer months – a feast for the eyes.

This solution is excellent for the biodiversity and teems with birds, butterflies and insects. By staying here, you actively contribute to this innovative and environmentally friendly treatment approach.

Vegetable garden & permaculture

At Escapade Nature et Gourmande, our permaculture vegetable garden reflects our commitment to a more sustainable future.

Cultivated without chemicals, It follows the principles of permaculture, promoting biodiversity, crop rotation and the use of natural resources.

This garden is a source of vegetables, herbs And fruits seasonal, that you will be able to discover and enjoy during your stay or during a gourmet workshop.

At Escapade Nature et Gourmande, we prioritize local products, organic And seasonal to offer an authentic and environmentally friendly experience.

Whether for our gourmet workshops or catering, the ingredients are carefully selected for their quality and taste.

Fruits, vegetables and aromatic herbs come from as soon as possible our garden or local producers. We give preference to short supply chains particularly for meat when possible and we can also provide you with the contact details of producers during your stay.

Happy hens at the heart of our ecosystem

Another key element of our eco-responsible commitment Our hens. They are an integral part of our small ecosystem and play an essential role in our sustainable approach.

They are raised outdoors, in conditions that respect their well-being. They contribute to maintaining a natural balance by consuming food scraps and producing fresh eggs and tasty.

Furthermore, their excrement is used for feed our compost, thus contributing to the enrichment of our soil and to the local and organic food production.

The second life of our pine trees, now transformed into a pool barrier

During the installation of our constructed wetland system, we had to cut down several pine trees. Rather than leaving the wood unused, we contacted tree surgeons from Gers who offered to turn it into planks.

These were used to make the barriers for our swimming pool. This is a way to utilize local wood and limit our environmental impact, while supporting local craftsmanship and contributing to a unique natural setting.

Saltwater pool

OUR large swimming pool measuring 5×10 m, treated with salt, it offers an ecological alternative to traditional swimming pools.

It is gentle on the skin and requires fewer chemicals. A space of relaxation ideal where bathing, relaxation and nature meet.

We support soft mobility with our charging station Haeger Witty 22 kW For electric vehicles. This service allows you to recharge your vehicle using your type 2 cable.

A renovation for greater comfort and less impact on the planet

To offer you a comfort optimal while limiting our ecological impact, We carried out wall and ceiling insulation work, installed high-performance double glazing and heat-reflective blinds for better thermal comfort, especially in summer.

Energy-efficient LED lighting, modern heating systems, and motion detectors for outdoor lighting complete this sustainable approach.
